♥Babywearing in the wild!!!!!♥
Seriously, I didn’t even use a (color) filter for this picture!!!😱
Anyway, we spoke about the fact that Kwaku is a multicultural festival, but the only people we saw with a wrap or carrier were caucasian.
In a lot of cultures babywearing isn’t a choice. Mothers have to strap their child on their body, because they don’t have money for a stroller.
So when they have the money to buy a stroller, they can’t wait to ditch the ‘sign of poverty’ = babywearing😞
I often speak Moroccan people on the street and they tell me that their grandmother used to carry them on their back when she did household chores.
They always have great memories about babywearing…❤️
It’s a shame people associate babywearing with poverty.
Babywearing is more than not having money for a stroller! It’s warmth, security and comfort for your child, natural, soothing your baby and still have your hands free to do what you like to do, painfree arms and nowadays it can be fashionable and VERY expensive!!!😂
I wish people would understand that babywearers have money for a stroller and we carry our children in a wrap or carrier out of choice😌
Thanks for letting me take your picture and post it dear babywearer!
